Pharmacy Assistant

Location: Victoria, BC

Feltham Animal Hospital is currently welcoming a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital.

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 1 year of veterinary experience or similar medical terminology knowledge. The pharmacy assistant will ensure that the front desk and treatment area work harmoniously together, this includes:

1. Tending to the pharmacy voicemails at least twice daily
2. Filling client refill requests in a timely manner
3. Completing pharmacy tasks in the hospital's computer system, 'Woofware'
4. Client communication: when prescriptions are ready, have been ordered, or are out of stock
5. Ordering: pharmaceutical stock twice weekly
6. Fill medications off appointments and for inpatients going home
7. Travel appointments: under DVM direction complete the paperwork needed for travel to other countries
8. Answer phones as needed by the front reception desk
9. Provide coverage/relief for front desk staff

Compensation: The salary range for this position is from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour depending on experience.
