Pharmacist - PT

Our client now has a vacancy to join a well-established GP / Family Medicine practice in the thriving city of Edmonton, Alberta.

The practice has been operating since 2014 and is a teaching practice. They are now able to take on 2 more full-time GPs to meet the high patient demand.

About the Role and Benefits:

• Working hours are usually Monday - Friday 9-5; some weekends can be included but are open to negotiation.
• On calls are on a rotation between all the doctors - one week every 7 weeks.
• Support team consists of four Medical Office Assistants that help with rooming and charting, a Clinic Lead that assists with minor procedures and scheduling, and an Office Manager that assists with building, setup, and billing assistance of the practice.
• Primary Care Network will assist with BCH, Dietitian, and Nursing.
• Visiting specialists include a Pediatrician twice a week, General Surgeon once a week, Psychiatry twice a month, and Women’s Health two to three times a week.
• Doctors keep 75% of all billings to patients.
• Average earnings for GPs in the practice is around $450,000 CAD per annum.
• GPs also have access to a Health Benefit Plan (optional), free parking, and MOA assistance.
• The employer believes in a good work / life balance and will assist in any way to ensure the doctor’s practice runs smoothly. They will set GPs up with a business license, training on their EMR system, assist with billing and scheduling, and anything to help with growing your practice.

The Location:

Edmonton is a great city to be based in. The workplace is also close to a major highway, providing easy access from the opposite side of town. Newer houses are being built across the street and extending further north. The clinic is in a complex that also has a physiotherapist, supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants, etc. It is a new build practice (2018), with air-conditioning, ample parking, fully disability accessible, and large consulting rooms.
