Position Overview

PharmAchieve is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our team as an MCQ Course Coordinator. The role involves:

  • Overseeing a team of pharmacists responsible for delivering the PEBC MCQ preparation course
  • Coaching the team to produce high-quality deliverables
  • Engaging with students to understand their needs and to promote high customer satisfaction

The role is ideal for someone who has a passion for teaching, enjoys learning something new every day, and is committed to processes that emphasize continuous improvement.

Hours and Location:

  • The role requires at least 32 hours per week
  • This role requires in-person attendance at PharmAchieve's head office, with the option to work from home 1 day/week

Duties:

  • Team and Product Leadership: Manage and support the MCQ team to high-performance
  • Curriculum Development: Oversee and contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of course materials and content
  • Course Coordination & Scheduling: Organize and schedule lectures, ensuring smooth delivery of the program
  • Discussion Group Management: Oversee discussion groups, including managing WhatsApp groups and online Q&A forums to foster student engagement
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure students' needs and concerns are addressed promptly to enhance their learning experience
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure high standards of education and content delivery
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively implement strategies to improve course content and delivery based on feedback and industry best practices

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist: Must be a Canadian licensed pharmacist in good standing. A PharmD degree or accredited residency (ACPR) is preferred
  • Clinical Expertise: Strong clinical skills, therapeutic knowledge, and commitment to staying abreast of the latest clinical guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: Create engaging content with attention to detail, including correctness, spelling, grammar and punctuation—comfort with presenting live lectures
  • PEBC Qualifying Exams: Must have completed the PEBC exams preferably within the last 5 years

Our Recruitment Process

This video will allow us to assess your teaching style. Please refer to our Sample Video Lecture (start at 48:15) for guidance on the content and style we're seeking. Ensure that you are visible in the recording.
  2. Writing Sample: Please provide a one-paragraph writing sample on first-line asthma treatment and include two case-based questions related to this topic.

The successful candidate will be invited to participate in a one-week paid work arrangement before the final hiring decision is made.
