Job Description:

This is a temporary full-time assignment up to approximately twelve (12) months

Sinai Health is looking for an experienced Pharmacist to support our Pharmacy Department at our Mount Sinai Hospital Campus. The Pharmacist is actively involved with inter-professional teams that strive to provide exemplary care to patient population. Standard pharmacotherapeutic services include medication reconciliation, drug therapy monitoring, patient education, drug information, participation on clinical rounds, order entry and drug distribution. In addition, the successful candidate will also contribute to peer, pharmacy undergraduate, interdisciplinary and pharmacy residency teaching/training and be an active participant in relevant inter-professional hospital committees and quality improvement research.

Job Requirements:

Mandatory:

• Successful completion of a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited educational institution
• Active (or eligible for) registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
• Minimum 3 years of pharmacy experience
• Applicants with proven equivalent recent and related training and experience may also be considered

Preferred:

• Residency training or relevant inpatient experience an asset

• Excellent interpersonal and demonstrated inter-professional teamwork skills
• Demonstrated, excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance record
