We are seeking someone who wants to make that difference in our InFocus Pharmacy as one of our dispensing pharmacists.

Responsibilities:

  1. Advocate for safe prescribing practices and accurate transcribing, dispensing, monitoring and documentation of pharmacy activities.
  2. Procure medications and health-related items, ensuring proper storage and maintaining the medication use system.
  3. Ensure adherence to the policies and procedures at the facility and adherence to state and federal regulations.
  4. Communicate with medical professionals about patients and their medications, listen to patients' reports of symptoms and provide suggestions for over-the-counter medications.
  5. Safely administer vaccines, perform CLIA waived tests, and serve as point of escalation for patient, provider, or customer concerns.
  6. Collaborate with both patients and providers to help with medication reviews, disease and adherence management and any patient support services.
  7. Assist patient care teams with high-risk populations.
  8. Maintain adequate training and pharmacist certifications to support these programs.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. BS or PharmD obtained from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  2. Prior retail pharmacy experience.
  3. Licensed with the Iowa State Board of Pharmacy and seek licensing within other states Crescent operates, within a year.
  4. Complete an in-person, 340B university full-day program within the first year of employment.
  5. Preferred completion of an ASHP accredited residency program.
  6. Bi-lingual language ability in either Marshallese or Spanish is a plus.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week role.
