Job Details:
We are looking for a Personal Support Worker to provide 4-hour shifts for our client, 3-4 times a week.

Tuesday and Thursday: 1pm - 5pm
Saturday and Sunday: 11am - 3pm
This role can have more hours and days added to it.
Ongoing opportunity with the ability to pick up additional shifts.
Flexible working hours.

Job Summary:
The Personal Support Worker/Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs.

Responsibilities:

Meal preparation
Housekeeping
Accompany clients on outings
Shopping and errands
Medication reminders
Ambulation and transporting of clients
Provide companionship to clients
Ability to follow a care plan
Documentation/charting

Qualifications:

Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (e.g., foreign-trained nurse, nursing student after one year of completing the program).
Current CPR/First Aid training.
Current Police Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Screen or be willing to obtain one.
Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
Access to the internet/mobile phone.
Great support and teamwork.
Dementia/Alzheimer's experience.
Reliable and experienced.
