Personal Support Worker

In-Home Assisted Living Inc. (Homecare) of Brampton is looking for compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our family. As a Caregiver/Personal Support Worker (PSW), you will support our clients in Brampton by providing elder care. The work setting is within a private residence. The successful candidate must speak Portuguese.

As an IHAL employee, you will make a difference in the lives of our clients and their families through compassionate, client-focused care.

How You Will Spend Your Days

1. Assistance with personal care, hygiene, and grooming (ADL’s)
2. Light Housekeeping (IADL’s: vacuuming, laundry, dishes, etc.)
3. Basic Meal Preparation
4. Medication Reminders
5. Assisting clients with mobility, ambulation, and transfers
6. Providing companionship and emotional support
7. Responding to emergency situations
8. Completing daily shift reports to communicate with Case Managers

Success In This Role

1. Personal Support Worker Certificate or Foreign Trained Nurses, Caregiver with Life Experience
2. 2 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Is Preferred
3. Current CPR/First Aid Certification
4. Documentation skills
5. Ability to follow client care plan
6. Strong communication skills
7. Strong problem-solving skills
8. Excellent customer service skills

Compensation

$20.00 per hour

Shifts

8 hours per day - Weekday-days and evenings, Weekends-days and evenings, Part-time, Full-time

In-Home Assisted Living Inc. will supply all necessary PPE (Mask, gloves, sanitizer - COVID Test Kits)
