Personal Chef Responsibilities:
- Conferring with personal chef clients to determine their meal preferences, specifications, food allergies, and dietary restrictions.
- Working with the FoodZen Kitchen staff to prepare pre-made meals in an efficient and timely manner.
- Working with the Head Chef to create customized menus for personal chef clients based on their preferences, specifications, and dietary needs.
- Shopping for ingredients as well as necessary kitchen tools and equipment for your personal chef clients.
- Inspecting meal ingredients before making purchases to ensure they are of the highest quality.
- Preparing meals in clients' kitchens or the FoodZen Kitchen in accordance with food health and safety regulations.
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas before and after meal preparation.
- Appropriately packaging and labelling prepared meals that are to be consumed at a later date.
Personal Chef Requirements:
- Degree in culinary arts or three to five years of equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a personal chef or within a restaurant environment.
- Food Handler Certification.
- Willing to get a vulnerable sector check.
- Must be passionate about using fresh ingredients over processed ones.
- A sound knowledge of international cuisines, specialty diets & allergies.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, and working with specialty diets and allergies.
- The ability to handle criticism.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word or Google Docs.
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to own transportation with room for equipment and groceries.

Schedule:
- Day Shift
- Monday to Friday
- 1 to 4 clients per week, plus FoodZen Kitchen hours
- Occasional evenings and weekends
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
