NOC Code 44101 – Home support workers, housekeepers and related occupations
Home support worker required to take care of one senior in her own residence.
The candidate must be mature, honest, independent and reliable.
Work location: intersection: Seahurst Rd and Shell Rd., Richmond, BC, V7A 3P2. Employer’s name: Leihl Family.

Job Duties:

  1. Care for the senior as the main priority.
  2. Assisting with all aspects of personal care.
  3. Providing support and assistance in balance and mobilization.
  4. Assist in activities of daily living.
  5. Accompany the senior to doctor’s appointments.
  6. Organize activities and outings for the senior.
  7. Prepare meals and light housekeeping for the patient.
  8. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
  9. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the senior.
  10. Show compassion for the patient and passion for elderly care in all actions.

Experience and Qualifications:
Completion of the equivalent of the Canadian secondary school education.
At least six months of Caregiver training or at least one year of full-time paid experience as a caregiver or in a related field or occupation in the past three years.
First Aid Certificate or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate (or willing to take course upon employment).
Able to speak, write and read English. Eligible to receive work permit in Canada. Reference required.

Work Location Information:
Work in employer’s/client’s home, Relocation costs covered by employer.
Anticipated Start Date: April, 2025.

Terms of Employment:
The job is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Days off: Saturday and Sunday. 2 weeks paid holidays, 30 minutes paid meal break, 5 days of paid sick leave.
Wage: $23.00 hourly. Employer’s name: Leihl Family.
