SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

The Payroll and HR Coordinator is part of a team supporting employee payroll and HR processes. In this role, you will be responsible for full cycle payroll functions related to the verifying and processing of bi-weekly payroll and benefit administration for all employees using ADP Workforce Now. You will be the first point of contact for staff payroll concerns and ADP troubleshooting. As a secondary responsibility, you will take part in the organization’s talent acquisition—communicating with candidates, assessing applications, carrying out interviews, producing job offers, and participating in the hiring and orientation process.

Rate: $30.39 to 35.97 per hour

HOURS OF WORK

This position works thirty-five (35) hours per week.

Schedule:

Mondays to Fridays 8:30am-4:30pm.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a relevant University Degree or College Diploma in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in full-cycle payroll administration, ADP WFN experience strongly preferred.
  • Talent acquisition experience considered a strong asset.
  • CHRP designation considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and advanced skills in computer technology and software including: integrated Finance/Payroll system, MS Office, and online applications for benefits, RRSP and employment insurance.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to set priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving/judgement skills and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and customer service skills.
  • Superb interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Solid understanding of all applicable federal and provincial legislation.
  • Able to successfully complete and provide a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
