A day in the life:

The main focus of this hybrid role is to be a parts specialist. The primary responsibility is maintaining positive relationships with service technicians, service team, and manufacturers for parts identification, creating estimates, and problem solving. The parts technical specialist must thrive in an extremely fast-paced work environment with high deliverables. In-person customer service for parts counter sales may also be involved.

In the role of warehouse associate, the primary responsibility is to ensure that every part that enters or leaves the warehouse is handled with care. The warehouse associate is responsible for receiving, picking, packing, and shipping parts.

Duties and Core Responsibilities

  • Generates estimates for technician group.
  • Provides regular, timely communication with customers to maximize conversion rate.
  • Engages with technician group to determine the required parts for service orders.
  • Researches part manufacturers' resources to identify commercial food equipment parts to better assist customers.
  • Verifies and updates accurate part information for customer accounts.
  • Liaises with service technicians and manufacturers for technical support calls.
  • Listens to and understands customer needs and provides quotes.
  • Issues purchase orders for material and part pick-ups from local suppliers.
  • Sources parts from various sources.

Duties and Core Responsibilities as Warehouse Associate

  • Receives and counts incoming parts.
  • Records received parts information.
  • Reads purchase orders and picks the correct parts quickly and correctly.
  • Identifies part location and labels item with the correct barcode.
  • Shelves parts in the correct warehouse location.
  • Assembles customer orders, picking parts, confirming part numbers and quantities.
  • Packs orders ensuring that all items are correct, to ensure that orders arrive to customers undamaged.
