Position: Partnership Marketing Intern
Reports To: Partnerships Marketing Manager
Location: Stoney Creek, ON - CEBL Head Office
Job Type: Full-time internship (January-April)
Compensation: Honorarium upon completion of internship

About the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL)
A league created by Canadians for Canadians with a mission to develop Canadian players, coaches, sports executives, and referees. The CEBL boasts the highest percentage of Canadian players of any pro league in the country, with 75% of its rosters being Canadian and a record 12 players with NBA experience in 2024. Players also bring experience from the NBA G League, top international pro leagues, the Canadian National team program, NCAA programs, as well as U SPORTS and CCAA. Twenty-two players have signed NBA contracts following a CEBL season, and numerous CEBL players attend NBA G League training camps every year. The CEBL season runs from May through August with games broadcast live on CEBL+ powered by BetVictor, TSN, TSN+, RDS, Game+, Next Level Sports & Entertainment and Courtside1891. Responsibilities: (Included but not limited to)

  • Assist in servicing the CEBL’s national partner contractual obligations, working with partners to activate their sponsorship and provide marketing solutions to assist partners in achieving their objectives.
  • Assist the CEBL’s national partnership sales team in developing proposals for prospective clients.
  • Support administration of the CEBL’s national partnership team.
  • Liaise with suppliers, venues, and CEBL teams to assist in facilitating partner marketing programs.
  • Assist in managing partner ticket, hospitality, merchandise, and travel requirements across all CEBL events.
  • Collect data and develop reports to share with CEBL’s national partners.
  • Assist in coordinating creative partner content with CEBL’s content team to develop postseason partner reports.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Required Skills:
Currently studying sport management, business, event management, or a related field with an internship course credit.

  • Strong oral and written communication.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to deliver on deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Availability:

  • Monday - Friday (9 AM - 5 PM).
  • Some evening and weekend availability may be required.
  • Academic term (January - April).
