Job description

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Enterprise Marketing Manager, this role brings with it significant specialization and expertise, operating across divisions. The Marketing Technology (MarTech) Partner will be responsible for leading marketing technology product ownership, service automation, and digital marketing.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Application / Platform Product Ownership

  • Serving as the product owner for marketing applications and platforms, including corporate websites, mobile applications, and platforms for CRM, advertising, direct email, marketing data management, marketing performance dashboarding, and others.
  • Collaborating with divisions, IT, leadership, and stakeholders to gather product requirements for marketing applications / platforms.
  • Developing and communicating product vision to divisions, IT, leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with divisions, IT, leadership, and stakeholders to develop multi-year product roadmaps for marketing applications / platforms, including scope, budget, and timing.
  • Maintaining and prioritizing product backlogs based on business ROI, user feedback, IT priorities, and corporate direction.
  • Working with divisions, IT, leadership, and stakeholders to plan and oversee marketing application / product releases.
  • Overseeing knowledge management and training of MarTech platforms.
  • Supporting division and corporate strategic planning by advising on MarTech options, considerations, and opportunities.
  • Collaborating with divisions, IT, leadership, and stakeholders to produce formal documentation surrounding stakeholder/business requirements, technical specifications, project plans, status updates, and training procedures.
  • Managing MarTech vendor agreements and relationships.
  • Monitoring and reporting on industry trends, best practices, and experimentations surrounding MarTech.

Service Automation

  • Leading automation of personalized omnichannel engagement across brand touchpoints and CRM platforms.
  • Automating social (online) listening, sentiment analysis, and issues flagging / management (leveraging tools, such as Sprout Social, Meltwater, Brandwatch, etc.).
  • Centralizing and automating dashboarding of campaign, channel, and customer analytics.

Digital Marketing Leading

  • Corporate governance and processes surrounding maintenance, enhancement, and development of corporate websites across divisions.
  • Collaborating with agencies to design and effectively execute digital strategy.
  • Collaborating with Marketing Managers across divisions, leading search engine optimization activities, including competitor analysis, search word assessment, keyword content integration, Google AdWords campaign management, A/B testing, and other activities.
  • Establishing and managing the structure of digital advertising and analytics accounts across the division.
  • Supporting divisions with social media strategy development and implementation (particularly channel, growth, engagement, and content strategy).

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUCCESS INDICATORS

  • Marketing is driving monetary outcomes for the divisions.
  • Marketing applications / platforms have a clear corporate strategic direction with leadership support.
  • The individual is well integrated within the business and priorities of the divisions.
  • Marketing technology platforms are well implemented, configured, utilized, and operated.
  • Key operational marketing practices are automated and enabling process improvement and efficiency.
  • Marketing application / platform spend is well allocated and optimized.
  • The organization is well informed of emerging marketing technology, trends, and opportunities.

Experience

Required

  • 3 year(s): Marketing experience, with proficiency in managing digital marketing; marketing technologies; and service automation.
  • 3 year(s): Experience in delivering well-tailored guidance on marketing technology sourcing through to implementation, and operation.
  • 3 year(s): Ability to manage a digital marketing budget and share results-oriented recommendations.

Education

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or better in Marketing or related field

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree or better in Commerce or related field
