Salary Range: $19.97-$23.20-Hourly

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24

Job Description:

The Project Assistant serves the clerical, event planning and communication needs of the Local Immigration Partnership project, funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

The role centers on administrative support for the operations of the project, including, but not limited to:

  • Planning partner meetings quarterly in both Renfrew and Lanark Counties.
  • Corresponding with partners on project developments and scheduling meetings.
  • Creating correspondence/letter writing, posting content on the project’s social media account(s) and website.
  • Taking minutes at partner meetings, tracking team expenses on a monthly basis and paying invoices through Workday.
  • Ordering supplies and equipment.
  • Reconciling credit card amounts monthly on the LIP corporate credit card.
  • Helping to plan events.
  • Creating documents and spreadsheets for project use.
  • Attending meetings on behalf of the project.
  • Supporting initiatives as required.

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) year diploma or equivalent in Office Administration/ Business
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in Administrative Support/Clerical Support
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is preferred
  • Experience in interpreting complex data or refining work methods and techniques to be used
  • Excellent communication skills
