Job Title: Part-Time Facility Maintenance Person


Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-Time Facility Maintenance Person to join our team and take responsibility for the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of tasks, including routine cleaning, minor repairs, equipment maintenance, general handyman duties, and coordination of external vendor maintenance. This role aims to enhance the overall condition and safety of our premises while providing a responsive and adaptable approach to facility maintenance.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cleaning and Sanitization:
    • Perform routine cleaning tasks to ensure a clean and sanitary environment.
    • Address spills, accidents, and unexpected cleaning needs promptly.
    • Empty waste, recycling, and compost bins, adhering to waste management guidelines.

  2. Maintenance and Repairs:
    • Conduct minor repairs to structures, furniture, and fixtures.
    • Regularly inspect facilities for wear and tear, addressing issues proactively.

  3. Equipment Checks:
    • Ensure proper functioning of cleaning equipment within the facilities.
    • Report any malfunction or need for repairs promptly.

  4. Handyman Tasks:
    • Perform general handyman duties such as painting, carpentry, and basic plumbing tasks.
    • Repair or replace office and building components.

  5. Coordination of External Vendor Maintenance:
    • Collaborate with external vendors for specialized maintenance tasks.
    • Schedule and oversee vendor visits to ensure the completion of required maintenance.

  6. Supply Management:
    • Monitor and manage supplies necessary for cleaning and maintenance activities.
    • Keep an inventory and report supply needs as required.

  7. Preventive Maintenance:
    • Implement preventive maintenance measures to extend the lifespan of facilities and equipment.
    • Identify potential issues and address them before they become major problems.

  8. Facility Visits:
    • Conduct regular facility inspections to assess conditions and identify maintenance needs.
    • Document and report findings to management.

  9. Collaboration:
    • Coordinate with other team members and departments to address specific cleaning and maintenance needs.
    • Communicate effectively with management regarding any urgent issues or maintenance requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in facility maintenance, cleaning, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Good knowledge of general handyman tasks, including carpentry, painting, and basic plumbing.
  3. Ability to coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance tasks.
  4. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  5. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
  6. Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Working Hours:

The position is part-time, requiring 15 hours per week. Working hours can be flexible but may include evenings or weekends as needed.


Salary:

$18 per hour
