As a local expression of The Salvation Army, Broadview Village has 40+ years of providing outstanding support to adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. Broadview Village residences provide around-the-clock support to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges. We are currently hiring a Part-Time Community Support Worker. This position reports to the Program Supervisor and is currently assigned to work in the Toronto, Ontario (Glencairn Avenue & Lansdowne Avenue) area. This position is part-time and works 25 hours per week currently scheduled Tuesday to Friday three (3) shifts 9:00 am - 3:00 pm and one (1) 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, flexible to meet program needs. Location and scheduling assignments may change based on organizational and programmatic needs.
The Transitional Employment Program (TEP) is a vocational rehabilitation program for people with a mental illness. The focus of the program is to prepare individuals for competitive employment by providing them with work skills, training and support. The Community Support Worker encourages and empowers the people we support towards meaningful contributions to society and to sustain good mental health and emotional well-being.
The Successful candidate will be able to support individuals in the following employment services: Office Cleaning, Custodian and Janitorial work, Landscaping and Gardening, Painting, Window Cleaning, Vending, Moving, Event set up and Clean up; Carpet Cleaning.
