Are you a self starter who enjoys working outdoors and has a passion for helping your community enjoy safe, clean and green parks? If so, we want you on our Parks Services team!
We are currently recruiting for 6 Parks Operations Students. As the successful candidates, you will assist Parks Services staff in all aspects of park operational and facility maintenance duties. You must have the ability to work in a team environment as well as periodically with minimal supervision while being self-motivated. You will be in frequent contact with the public and as such excellent communication skills are important.
Employment as a Parks Operations Summer Student will require vigorous work in all kinds of weather and requires that you possess a valid BC Driver's Licence with record of safe driving. You will be currently enrolled and returning to post-secondary education in programs related to sustainable resources, arboriculture, horticulture, fish, wildlife and recreation, natural resources, biology, or environmental sciences in the Fall of 2025.
The positions will commence May 6, 2025, and conclude August 26, 2025, and the hours of work will be 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Work shifts will either be Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday. We offer a wage of $22.46 per hour plus 4% in lieu.
