Park Maintenance Operator (Fixed Term)

We are looking for one Park Maintenance Operator. We are open to consider Student or Recent Graduate from a relevant engineering program or professional skilled trades program. This operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Sherbourne Commons from May to October 2025.

Location – Toronto, ON

Your role within the team:

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Operate and maintain a variety of park maintenance equipment.
• Participation in the review of operating and maintenance procedures.
• General Park maintenance such as litter pick up, cleaning, painting, and other related maintenance.
• General power plant maintenance.
• Operate pressure washing machine.
• Answer general questions from the public.
• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate:

• Currently enrolled in an engineering or skilled trades post-secondary program – college or university.
• Experience with park maintenance would be an asset.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends as required.
• Good mechanical aptitude and related experience is required to operate park machinery.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
