Job description

Our Client

Is a criminal defence firm with offices across Ontario. Our client is seeking a Paralegal/Office Manager in Kingston, Ontario.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct in-person, telephone, and email consultations for prospective clients.
  2. Accurately schedule client files and appointments.
  3. Ensure confidentiality of all corporate and client information.
  4. Correspond with courts, agents, clients, and co-workers.
  5. Review and draft legal documents.
  6. Request, receive, and review disclosure.
  7. Handle reconciliation and bank deposits of daily sales.
  8. Assist with clerical duties.

Requirements

  1. P1 Paralegal Licence (required).
  2. Member in good standing as a lawyer with the Law Society of Ontario.
  3. Knowledge of the Provincial Offence Act and Highway Traffic Act matters.
  4. Knowledge of the criminal code (considered an asset).
  5. Minimum 5 years of experience in handling POA/HTA matters.
  6. Strong attention to detail and management skills.
