Job description
Our client, a trusted litigation firm in downtown Toronto is seeking a Junior Litigation Law Clerk to join their team! Please note, this role is working fully remote.
Responsibilities :
As a Junior Litigation Law Clerk, you will support the litigation team with a range of tasks, including :
Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
Conducting legal research and compiling relevant case law.
Assisting with case preparation and organizing litigation files.
Managing and tracking case deadlines.
Preparing and organizing materials for hearings, trials, and client meetings.
Collaborating with the legal team on eDiscovery (training provided).
Other administrative duties as required to support the litigation process.
Requirements :
Minimum 2 years of experience in Commercial Litigation, Construction Litigation, or Bankruptcy & Insolvency.
Experience with eDiscovery is considered an asset.
Strong research and drafting skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
