Job description

Are you an experienced paralegal with a passion for real estate and insurance transactions? We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to support In-house Counsel in the coordination, management, and supervision of real estate and company insurance matters. In this dynamic role, you’ll be integral to managing home sale documents, project insurance, bonding, and contract management, as well as reviewing and analyzing critical real estate documents such as title commitments, leases, and encumbrance records.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert support for all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, from beginning to post-closing.
  2. Manage communications with third parties, including outside counsel, contractors, and company staff.
  3. Assist with corporate governance matters, including corporate resolutions and officer’s questionnaires.
  4. Prepare and manage contracts, estoppel certificates, non-disclosure agreements, and more.
  5. Oversee the organization, management, and retrieval of corporate and transactional documents.
  6. Handle entity management, including forming LLCs, filing necessary forms, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  7. Maintain corporate insurance policies (including renewals) such as Workers’ Compensation and EPLI.
  8. Assist in managing title matters, including title policies, searches, and commitments.
  9. Work closely with the HR Director to coordinate safety objectives.
  10. Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong knowledge of legal research and the ability to use law libraries effectively.
  2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, SharePoint, DocuSign, and real estate databases.
  3. Experience with Diligent Boards is a plus.
  4. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with senior-level executives and board members.

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  2. A minimum of five years of experience in a real estate transactional role, ideally within a law firm setting.
  3. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  4. Experience with corporate governance, insurance policies, and title-related matters is essential.
