Job duties:
Inspect electrical equipment, panels, and metal surfaces for rust, dirt, or damage before painting.
Remove old paint, rust, and debris using sanding, wire brushing, or chemical treatments.
Clean surfaces using degreasers, solvents, or high-pressure washers to ensure paint adhesion.
Fill cracks, dents, and gaps in electrical boxes, panels, and conduits with putty or filler materials.
Apply primer or anti-corrosion coatings to metal surfaces to enhance paint durability.
Apply paint, varnish, or protective coatings to electrical cabinets, transformers, poles, and conduits.
Use brushes, rollers, or spray guns for even and efficient paint application.
Follow industry standards for color-coding electrical conduits, panels, and wiring enclosures.
Apply fire-resistant, insulating, or weatherproof coatings as required for safety and longevity.
Ensure multiple coats are applied for durability, allowing proper drying time between layers.
Clean and maintain painting tools, including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and compressors.
Properly store paints, primers, and protective coatings to prevent contamination or spoilage.
Ensure painting equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions to the maintenance team.
Keep track of paint inventory and request supplies as needed.
