Pride Bodies Ltd., a Wabtec Company in Cambridge, Ontario, offers custom design and truck-body manufacturing and upfitting of utility, service, construction, railway and other custom truck bodies. Our environmentally-friendly truck bodies are researched, designed and customized to our customers’ satisfaction.

Who will you be working with?

As a member of the team at Pride Bodies Ltd., you will be working daily in the paint department, with the paint supervisor and paint team.

1. Uphold priorities of Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement and Teamwork;
2. Perform work that is accurate and finished so that your internal customers, the Assembly and Service Departments, can perform their work without disruption.

What do we want to know about you?

1. High School/GED diploma required;
2. Maintain regular and reliable attendance;
3. Stamina and strength to perform manual labour; eagerness to learn on the job;
4. Be team focused and task oriented;

What will your typical day look like?

1. Understand instructions and carry them out efficiently within the given deadline;
2. Apply safe automotive/manufacturing work practices and become familiar with equipment (DA palm sander, caulking gun, air blower, masking tape, masking paper etc);
3. Read and understand shop drawings to enable independent work;
4. Set up and maintain shop tools and equipment; learn to set up and maintain new tools and equipment as required;
5. Stack parts for easy access for the next operation and label both parts and skids/containers correctly;
6. Assist in other areas of production as needed, if qualified.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.

Safety glasses, steel-toed safety shoes and hearing protection must be worn for the entirety of the shift.
