Job Description

The Social Specialist is an important member of a broader Social team, which pursues and activates on social media platforms against meaningful insights with the goal of driving measurable results. Social Coordinators receive in-depth training and continue their professional development by gaining experience and skills via on-the-job experience. The Social Coordinators key skills-set includes analytical skills, math proficiency, demonstrated creative thinking, and great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the Social Sr. Specialist and Social Supervisors in managing and executing approved Social Media plans.
2. Assist in the development and organization of supportive data for Social Media plans and recommendations.
3. May often communicate with local clients regarding tactical aspects of the social media plans and to assist in facilitating information and answering questions.
4. Manage contracts/insertion orders and any resulting revisions with media vendors where a managed service is contracted.
5. Responsible for inputting Social Media buys and managing any discrepancy reconciliations including actualizing media spending.
6. Assist with billing process including a more automated process for Facebook.
7. Responsible for updating blocking charts, budgets, and budget summaries where required.
8. Assist with media research and day-to-day communication with creative account team members as appropriate.
9. Update competitive media reports and technical support for presentation materials.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree; degree or concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications preferred.
2. Track record of success throughout post-secondary career and previous employment.
3. Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency.
4. Solid verbal and written communication skills.
5. Technical proficiency, particularly with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
6. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
7. Able to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure.
8. Detail-oriented and able to produce accurate work product.
