Position Summary

As an Overnight Camp Counsellor, you will create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for young athletes aged 10–19. Your role involves supervising campers, ensuring their well-being, and assisting with team practice sessions on the ice. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about mentorship, hockey, and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support campers during daily activities and evening routines.
• Provide minor first aid when required.
• Facilitate extracurricular activities.
• Stay overnight in camp accommodations and manage camper behavior.
• Be present on the ice during team practice times to assist with coaching.
• Additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Supervision

• Reports to: Coordinator, Residence (or Director, Residence when the Coordinator is unavailable).
• Provides supervision to: Campers/players.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working with kids, preferably in a camp setting.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Physical fitness to keep pace with young athletes.
• Critical thinking skills in various situations.
• Ability to skate.
• Current First Aid + CPR C certification.
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
