Operate crane on a constant basis, ensuring proper slinging techniques are used, to supply all lines/equipment with the necessary WIP/materials to move material. Sort steel by size and gauge to ensure delivery to proper area within the shop.
Operating tandem crane and other cranes as and when required; ensure proper slinging techniques are employed. Operating forklift to load and unload slit coils and deliver other materials to proper area in the shop.
Preparing waste for shipment including hazardous waste, scrap drums, strapping, trash. Ensuring 5S floor plan and material storage is maintained in respective departments. Practice good housekeeping, including 5S requirements, and time management in the performance of daily duties.
Comply with all legislated and company’s health, safety, environmental, quality and Lean policies, procedures and programs. Perform all other duties as assigned.
