Our client, a prominent member of the Energy and Utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to grow the organization’s customer network. The Outside Sales Representative should be a highly motivated, intelligent, and results-driven individual who will be responsible for developing relationships with new customers within a designated territory.
This role requires a strong understanding of the sales process, proactive problem-solving skills, adaptability to changing market conditions, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. The Outside Sales Representative will work independently to achieve sales targets, build a strong sales pipeline, and represent the company with professionalism and integrity.

Responsibilities
- Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify and qualify potential customers within the assigned territory through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline of qualified leads.
- Conduct thorough information gathering to understand customer needs and identify best possible offerings.
- Sales Presentations and Closing:
- Conduct engaging and informative product/service presentations tailored to customer needs.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition of our products/services and address customer concerns.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales agreements to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Territory Management and Planning:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to maximize sales potential within the assigned territory. Effectively manage time and resources to achieve sales goals and meet customer needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline in the CRM system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven track record of success in outside sales, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
- Experience in Construction or electrical is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Proficient in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and G-Suite.
- Ability to travel extensively within the designated territory.
