DZ DRIVER TRUCK TRANSFER AND MAINTENANCE HELPER-

OTTAWA EAST & WEST YARDS

Locations: 145 Walgreen Rd, Carp, Ontario

Position Type: Full-Time Permanent

Reporting: Shop Foreperson

Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 12:00am

Rate: $25.50 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
• The transfer of all Company vehicles to and from various locations.
• Will be required to do minor repair and road test equipment, as per shop needs.
• Will be required to conduct vehicle maintenance according to established MWS policies and procedures.
• Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance.
• Conduct on-road delivering of goods, parts, equipment pick up and drop off, as required.

Requirements:

• Must have at least a valid 'DZ' Driver’s Licence.
• Successful candidates must be mechanically inclined.
• Must be able to help with residential and commercial collections, when needed.
• Ability to showcase knowledge and experience in repairing equipment systems.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and work in a team environment.
• Must be available to work late when trucks are behind schedule, as well as weekends and holidays, if required.
