We are seeking an experienced Organizational Change Management (OCM) Leader to join our government client in Winnipeg for an initial 6-month contract, with a potential total duration of 24 months. This remote opportunity is ideal for a dynamic professional ready to lead significant organizational change initiatives within a complex environment.

About the Role
The Organizational Change Management Lead will be trained and certified in Prosci (ADKAR) or similar change management methodologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing high-quality change management strategies, including stakeholder engagement, communications, and public relations strategies aligned with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement change management plans following PROSCI (or similar) methodologies.
  • Facilitate data gathering and process workshops to support the development of the Target Operating Model.
  • Review and validate recommendations from System Integrators, obtain leadership buy-in, and manage approvals.
  • Identify and coordinate training requirements for program implementation.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to drive stakeholder engagement and readiness.
  • Analyze and report on financial and risk measures, and develop project dashboards.
  • Design and implement end-user training strategies, including “Train-the-Trainer” programs.
  • Guide project teams on methodologies, deliverable templates, and tools.
  • Lead stakeholder management and communication efforts to support change adoption.

Qualifications

  • PROSCI Change Management Certification or ACMP Certification (required).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English Literature, Communications, Marketing, PR, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a change management leadership role, with a background in communications, PR, journalism, or related disciplines.
  • Proven expertise in impact assessments, change readiness, ADKAR assessments, and developing/executing related plans.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and best practices.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills for various mediums (e.g., web, articles, presentations, scripts).
  • Proficiency in creating change management, communications, and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Experience guiding organizations through large-scale transitions and transformations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute change management plans, ensuring smooth adoption of changes.
  • Experience in SAP-related projects is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and risk management skills, with the ability to assess business impacts and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent business and political acumen, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Criminal background check required.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience working on government or public sector projects.
  • Hands-on experience in large-scale change management initiatives, including training, communications, and stakeholder management.
