Job Summary and Essential Job Duties
The Optics Manufacturing Technician position is responsible for manufacturing precision optics and other optical components. Successful candidates undergo instruction and training to ultimately operate optics manufacturing and testing equipment such as multi-axis CNC machines, generating and polishing machines, applying knowledge of layout and tooling techniques and procedures, shop mathematics, and properties of optical and abrasive materials.
Through On the Job Training (OJT), optical manufacturing technicians will:
