Job description

About the role

To operate the manufacturing facilities safely, efficiently and effectively to address production and distribution requirements. To provide a quality service in the manufacture of bulk emulsions to our customers in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.

Schedule : Monday to Friday - 6:30am to 3:00pm (day shift)

What you will be doing

  1. Maintaining safe working practices to ensure no injury to self or others
  2. Ensure plant and equipment is in good order by regular inspection
  3. Carrying out housekeeping tasks as instructed by supervisor
  4. Promptly reporting all unsafe working conditions and accidents to Supervisor
  5. Ensuring minimum damage to the environment through waste minimisation and control
  6. Wearing all PPE as required for specific tasks
  7. Ensuring all emergency equipment and First Aid kits are complete
  8. Active participation in Mining Services safety program Equipment operation and maintenance
  9. Product delivered to customers and Orica Depots to meet demand schedule
  10. Manufacturing plant and delivery vehicles/tankers are maintained according to schedule
  11. Accurate provision of delivery dockets to customers
  12. Perform QC testing on incoming raw materials and product being dispatched to customers
  13. Maintaining vehicles in clean and presentable condition
  14. Ensure raw materials are ordered in a timely manner and stored correctly
  15. Ensure correct accreditation signage is displayed
  16. Ensure all raw materials are correctly labelled
  17. Ensure products are produced in accordance with the correct manufacturing procedures as per CBT manual
  18. Ensure product quality assurance is measured and recorded for later analysis
  19. Ensure the timely calibration of manufacturing equipment and MMUs
  20. Ensure equipment is maintained to provide high levels of service and replace faulty parts as required or instructed
  21. Assist with stocktaking all materials and products as required
  22. Assist with recording details of receipts into and dispatches from the plant
  23. Perform other ancillary duties including gasser and companion solution make-up, noise plant operation, consistent with level of competence, as reasonably instructed by supervisor

What you will bring

  1. Class 3 Driver's license (with Airbrake Endorsement)
  2. 2+ years experience in a dangerous goods / bulk explosives / heavy industry / process plant environment
  3. High School Diploma, a plus
