P&H Milling

P&H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P&H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour for chappati. In our specialty milling operation in Saskatoon, we also mill pea fractions.

From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Acton, Hanover, Hamilton, and Cambridge, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P&H Milling Group supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.

Your Role

We're looking for a reliable Mill Equipment Operator to join our team in Saskatoon. In this role, you'll operate and monitor milling equipment, support production and packaging, and help maintain food safety and quality standards.

Day to Day

Shifts: Rotating Days/Nights (8am-8pm | 8pm-8am) 4 Days On, 4 Days Off

  • Operate and monitor mill equipment for raw material cleaning and processing.
  • Run product checks using NIR to ensure quality standards.
  • Perform equipment checks and minor repairs; prevent blockages.
  • Assist packers as needed to meet production schedules.
  • Complete CCP paperwork and check metal detectors/bullet magnets.
  • Operate a forklift safely.
  • Maintain cleanliness and follow all sanitation procedures.
  • Follow GMP, HACCP, and food safety protocols.
  • Report safety hazards, incidents, and near misses.
  • Comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Support other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a general laborer position and manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Must be able to safely lift and stack 25kg bags.
  • Must be able to work in an environment that is exposed to dust.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to work shiftwork (12 hours shifts, working 4 on and 4 off with a Night/Day rotation which includes working weekends).
