Ardel Steel has established a solid reputation in the fabrication, distribution and installation of reinforcing steel and related products in Saskatchewan.

We are seeking experienced Rebar Fabricators at our Regina location.

Hours: Seasonal full time. Shifts may vary.

Daily tasks include but are not limited to:

1. Operate and attend to manual and automated equipment in the production process operation.
2. Operate overhead cranes to move, load, and offload materials.
3. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned work area at all times.
4. Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency.
5. Complete housekeeping duties in assigned areas when required.
6. Provide quality and customer focused workmanship.
7. Comply with all safety procedures including participating in safety meetings, inspections, maintenance logs and fire drills.
8. Other duties including, but not limited to: filling customer rebar orders, loading/unloading trucks, working with various rebar equipment (training will be provided).
9. General production and yard / warehouse help as required.

The successful candidate will have:

1. Ability to lift and maneuver 75 lbs without physical restrictions.
2. Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently.
3. Good understanding of customer service.
4. Overhead crane operator experience is an asset.
5. Ability to operate a steel band saw and paint sprayer.
6. Previous production work considered an asset.

Work Conditions

Highly repetitive tasks.

Ability to stand, crouch, bend, reach, and stoop for long periods of time.

Working conditions can be noisy, dusty, hot, cold.

The physical demands of this job require continual use of hands, arms, legs and movement of the entire body for purposes of lifting and handling materials. The daily use of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to; safety glasses, steel toe work boots, gloves, hardhat and hearing protection are mandatory.
