Location: Commutable to Irvine

Remuneration: £50,000 - £60,000

The role of the Operations Manager - Timber Manufacturing will involve:

1. Overseeing the manufacturing and production line for a high-end range of timber products.
2. Managing and overseeing the production personnel to achieve maximum production efficiency.
3. Ensuring that all orders are manufactured and despatched in a timely fashion.
4. Ensuring that all regulations, policies, and health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
5. Liaising with maintenance staff to ensure that plant machinery is fully operational and downtime is minimized.
6. Identifying areas of the production line that need improving to increase productivity.
7. Providing regular feedback to the workforce around performance.
8. Overseeing a production team of circa 60 with 3 direct reports.

The ideal applicant will have:

1. Operations Management experience within the manufacturing market sector.
2. A background in timber products or construction related fields.
3. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
4. Lean manufacturing skillset (5S), IOSH & NEBOSH qualifications would be advantageous.
5. IT literacy and familiarity with manufacturing software.
6. Proactive, motivated, and highly organized.
