Operations Manager, DTC is responsible for achieving the financial budget by developing and executing customer-centric growth strategies for Sony’s Consumer Electronics product categories. This role is responsible for managing the sales, forecasting and inventory requirements necessary to achieve the financial goals. This role needs to develop and execute a strategy rooted in customer insights and market trends and will include product merchandising, sales planning, promotion coordination and development, as well as inventory planning and management for Canada. The role will regularly interface with Sony’s product business units, supply chain and logistics teams, web content and design, as well as customer service. This role has responsibility for all elements of sales, planning, forecasting, executing and achieving the committed sales goals and sell through activities of their product line. Experience in developing and driving profitable ecommerce growth is a must.

Responsibilities

Business Operations & Order Management

  • Lead forecasting and PSI updates in the internal system, collaborating with the Sales Planning team to optimize automated forecasting tools.
  • Work closely with Business Units (BUs) to secure product allocation and commitments, ensuring seamless inventory flow.
  • Oversee purchase order validation and fulfillment coordination with internal teams.
  • Provide data-driven insights through regular sales and business performance reporting.
  • Maintain strong alignment with fulfillment partners to optimize order processing and delivery performance.

Pricing & Promotional Strategy

  • Monitor and validate weekly pricing strategies, ensuring competitive positioning in the market.
  • Manage Canada-specific fees and tax structures, ensuring compliance and pricing accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain product bundles to enhance value perception and increase sales.
  • Oversee the implementation of coupons and special discount programs to drive customer engagement and conversion.

Content Management & Customer Experience

  • Ensure accurate website content, including product details, translations (French & English), and new model launches.
  • Act as a key liaison for customer service escalations, working closely with the US Customer Service team to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Lead CRM initiatives, planning targeted Canada-specific campaigns, deals, and notifications in collaboration with the Email Marketing team.
  • Continuously analyze customer feedback and market trends to enhance the online shopping experience.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience
  • Experience with forecasting, sales, sales management, and sales planning of consumer electronics or consumer goods
  • Proficient in Direct-to-Consumer E-Commerce sales metric and best-practices to ultimately drive sales and profit growth
  • Expert in web sales tactics, including experience in some or all: manufacturer direct sales, affiliate sales, and/or consumer direct sales
  • Must have demonstrated skills and experience in financial analysis & reporting
  • Fluent in French, including Quebec French (specifically reading, writing and speaking)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Ecommerce experience
  • Demonstrated negotiating skills, ability to build strategic partnerships across a large corporate organization
  • Consumer Electronics product management and/or P&L experience are preferred

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $77,697 to $105,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave, defined contribution pension plan with company matching, vacation time, tuition reimbursement, paid sick leave time annually.
