You will lead the production operations in the Plant and deliver key performance targets (SQCDSM) in safety, quality, productivity, volumes, cost, sustainability, and organizational morale. You will ensure our manufacturing strategy is implemented effectively and strive to build a high-performing organization.

How you will contribute

  • Manage change/transformation amongst the Operating teams in the implementation of IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 Sigma phase journey, FoF-Factory of Future Line centric organization & roles (AM-Autonomous Maintenance, PM-Progressive Maintenance and an integrated 6 star model within operating Line teams) to progress into self-sufficient teams. Role model values and principles through effective coaching, mentoring, and development of the team.
  • Support the Manufacturing annual operational plans and targets to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, Engagement goals in line with the site compelling business need. Coach Line Leaders, cascade & communicate the plans and targets to employees to ensure alignment and understanding around priorities, focus, and KPI’s.
  • Lead and be accountable to establish strong governance to review, control operational performance and continuous improvement plan and embed a zero loss mindset to constantly improve and deliver against best in class both internally and externally. Drive the Operating team to identify and manage improvements to technology, culture, capability, and operating systems to deliver best practice and reliable operation.
  • Support all Manufacturing standards, Governance, Compliance requirements (Corporate Quality, Food safety & GMP, Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Sustainability, Code of conduct, Policies & principles, Operational standards, Local legal requirements, Internal Audit norms, & other procedures updated from time to time) are in place, understood by all, and regularly reviewed and monitored for effective implementation.
  • Lead and be accountable for Talent, Capabilities & Engagement for the Manufacturing team - identify and implement critical levers to attract, retain & develop critical talent and build capability at all levels, technical and behavioral, to build a sustainable workforce profile for the future. Partner effectively with all multi-functional peers internally & externally (outside the plant) to achieve objectives, goals, and KPI’s.

What you will bring

  • Strong operational & manufacturing leadership experience in CPG industry with experience in TPM-Total productive maintenance, 5S, LEAN, 6 Sigma tools and concepts.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment. Demonstrated abilities in analytics, problem-solving, and team building.
  • An Engineer with strong financial & business acumen, project management skills, and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.

What you need to know about this position:

This role involves running operations of one section at sites and benchmarking to establish Best in Class objectives, IL6S work practices including HPWS and IL6S systems and tracking progress of the same. The role also demands delivery of production targets and execution of loss recovery projects at the site.

In the operations phase, the section operations lead will be responsible for leading one of the sections in the execution of the daily operations to deliver the compelling business needs for the site in terms of planned production targets while ensuring adherence to HSE and Quality Standards. The section operations lead will also be accountable for anchoring the Capability Building agenda for his team and development of IL6S pillar representatives amongst the team members.

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering is a must.

Job specific requirements:

  • Lead Business Teams in the safe execution of daily operations, including full implementation of HSE processes.
  • Ensure that all production and production operations meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Delivery of net productivity as agreed in site CBN.
  • Monitor key KPI’s such as GE, OEE, MTBF, MUV, Overtime, etc. across lines, identify areas of concern and develop a corrective plan to improve the same.
  • Ensure all production planning schedules are executed to meet Customer demand.
  • Lead implementation of a High-Performance Work System (HPWS) in production operations, including team leadership, operator owned maintenance and implementation of all relevant IL6S pillars (HSE, Quality Management, Autonomous Maintenance).
  • Lead IL6S Phases implementation and ensure these behaviors are embedded in the team.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining best in class performance in all areas of operations, by having a comprehensive portfolio of performance metrics for all aspects (asset performance, people performance, material performance, process conformance) of the operation to enable fact-based decision making and prioritization of resources.
  • Conduct personnel development process with all team members.
  • Conduct Value Stream mapping at existing site for process simplification and identify opportunities to support HPWS culture.
  • Lead the implementation of AM pillar work process and coach the line team in implementation of pillar systems and procedures to ensure zero losses due to breakdowns.
  • Work closely with FI pillar to identify and execute IL6S projects across VS and conduct value stream mapping and loss analysis to increase efficiencies.
  • Support the IIM pillar to implement plans to deliver all initiatives in a timely and cost-efficient manner at VS level.
  • Support the organization pillar to drive policies and initiatives such as Rewards and Recognition system, PDP, employee engagement initiatives etc. to achieve the aim of 100% employee engagement.
  • Prepare the budget for the function and ensure adherence to it.
  • Drive adherence to QP requirements related to manufacturing.
  • Support the implementation of the Quality Pillar to ensure that the HACCP, GMP and ISO guidelines are adhered to in order to protect the quality of our products.
  • Coach Line leads to take accountability for the development of their team members through regular reviews by DMS and PDP implementation.
  • Monitor MCC closely and drive projects to implement cost savings.
  • Champion diversity at the shop-floor by anchoring initiatives to support the same.
  • Work closely with the HSE pillar to ensure Zero Incidents during operations and support optimization of energy and water utilization to reduce environmental impact at VS level.
