Operations Manager

On behalf of our client Clark Ag Systems Ltd. we are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of operations, including customer service, warehouse management, purchasing, parts handling, and the installation and service of poultry systems. This role is key to ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp on technical practices and demonstrate “outside the box” thinking. As a hands-on leader, you are a team player with an exceptional and positive attitude, enjoying the challenges that come with the role and the satisfaction that comes from overcoming them to succeed. What we need from you:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience managing job sites and construction sites
• Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising warehouse, operational staff and processes in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Minimum 3 years’ experience managing field staff/ technicians ( Service Manager, Field services etc.)
• Farm experience specific to poultry and hogs is an asset.
• Proven experience in Purchasing and Inventory Management.
• Health and Safety experience a must and a core competency
• Mechanical aptitude
• Excellent problem-solving experience in a fast paced and fast changing environment
• Experience in establishing processes and procedures to improve overall safety and operational activity
• Ability to travel to remote locations with periodic overnight stays.
• Valid G License with clean abstract
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Efficient in MS Office applications as well as MRP application systems

What you will do:

• Supervision & Coordination: Manage a team of office staff, project supervisors, and installation labor staff. Recruit, supervise, and develop personnel to maximize effectiveness and customer service.
• Health & Safety: Lead the Health and Safety program, ensuring compliance and proactive prevention of incidents. Responsible for CVOR performance and safety of service fleet.
• Purchasing & Inventory: Oversee purchasing and inventory management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Drive process improvements to reduce inventory costs and minimize obsolescence.
• Warehouse Management: Manage warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and supervising equipment assembly projects.
• Operations & Order Fulfillment: Collaborate with the Project & Purchasing Manager to ensure timely completion of installations and order fulfillment.
• Scheduling: Monitor and adjust installation and service schedules for optimal resource utilization.
• Budget Management: Work with accounting and senior management to develop and manage budgets, including tooling, labor, and vehicle expenses.
• Travel: Conduct weekly site visits to farms and ensure progress and safety compliance, with occasional overnight travel required.
