Overview:
Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, you will be part of a results-oriented team whose members are encouraged to exceed expectations. This job is temporary full-time.

Your Challenges:

  • Ensure application of the highest safety standards
  • Provide contact oversight/quality checking for field quality samples weekly (tree length, roundwood, chips & Biomass)
  • Monitor and conduct gravel pit inspections
  • Perform water-crossing inspections as part of the annual program
  • Timber cruising
  • Working individually and in a team in remote settings around Northern Ontario
  • Other projects and opportunities that occur during the contract period

Your profile:

  • Enrolled in a Forestry Degree Program or a Forestry Technical Diploma Program at an accredited post-secondary institution or other relevant educational program
  • Must be available to commence work the first week of May 2025
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License, with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Field navigation via compass, GPS and wilderness skills
