About your role

We are looking for an Operations & Email Marketing Specialist to support the day-to-day operations of our rapidly growing marketing organization and help us build a world-class, value-driven marketing system. As an Operations & Email Marketing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in building the structures required to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Marketing team while strengthening our connections within our giving communities. The ideal candidate is someone who proactively identifies optimization opportunities and can balance managing our direct marketing channels, marketing technology stack, funnel operations, and performance metrics to drive transformation and unlock new opportunities for innovation and growth. You will own the success of our communication performance, focusing primarily on implementing B2C and B2B communication flows. If you can analyze and improve multi-faceted campaigns and build in untested areas, we would love to hear from you.

Your team

You will be surrounded by a brilliant team of passionate people with an unwavering commitment to success and report to the Associate Director of Marketing Operations. You will collaborate closely with other marketing experts in brand, customer, growth, product, and content marketing. Your closest cross-functional partners will include existing email marketing, creative, customer success, data science, and business development team members outside marketing.

As an Operations & Email Marketing Specialist, you will get to:

  • Customer Journeys: Implement and optimize marketing workflows that support the retention and expansion of our customers' commitment to Givelify, including creating email templates and setting up lead nurturing campaigns.
  • Direct Channel Management: Support and execute our direct channel engagement strategy, including email campaign creation, audience segmentation, automation, and reporting.
  • Build, test, and execute marketing campaigns across direct channels (email, in-app notification, landing pages).
  • New Customer Growth: Build meaningful customer journeys that foster new customer growth. Work alongside the brand, demand generation, product, and business development teams to drive our customer acquisition.
  • Campaign Metrics & Performance Analysis: Be the KPI champion, holding the marketing team accountable to our goals while tracking and measuring the performance of campaigns, channels, and all marketing initiatives.
  • Actionable Insights: Tout your skills in translating common and novel metrics into shaping marketing campaigns and tactics. Use data to identify what's working and what's not and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Marketing Processes: Introduce, refine, and audit processes to optimize marketing workflows, enhance team collaboration, and drive measurable results. Champion process documentation, template creation, and lead change management for new processes and updates.
  • Marketing Technology: Manage the marketing technology stack, which includes CRMs, marketing automation platforms, and analytics platforms, ensuring these tools are integrated and working properly while troubleshooting and optimizing for performance.
  • Expense Management: Manage and track the marketing expenses, ensuring all new projects and initiative costs are accounted for to derive the ROI on key programs.

To be successful in this role, you'll also:

Collaborate with all teams within marketing, business development, product, customer experience, and creative to develop email and landing page assets and ensure they are optimized for delivery and performance Review, deploy, track, and optimize results for all direct channel campaigns (email and in-app notifications) Maintain a communications calendar and drive actionable insights from program performance to improve future efforts Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on metrics and analytics to marketing leadership Ensure ongoing compliance with privacy and communication regulations Work closely with all teams in marketing, business development, product, customer experience, data science to ensure alignment on metrics, lead qualification logic, handoff process and funnel operations Manage the hygiene and quality of our marketing lead database Evaluate new technologies to improve and optimize marketing team performance

Your experience:

  • 3-5 years of demonstrable experience in marketing or a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field with rigors in data analytics
  • Executing communications on multiple email platforms (Salesforce/Pardot, Hubspot, and or others)
  • Demonstratable experience with CleverTap is a big plus
  • Experience with collaboration tools (Asana, Mural, Slack, and Figma in particular)
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS coding and technical workflows related to email templating and landing page creation
  • Experience with Google Analytics, LookerStudio, SuperMetrics, Tableau preferred
  • Experience with developing ROI reporting dashboards for marketing teams and collaborating on team goal-setting
  • Data-driven with strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong track record of developing and maintaining highly collaborative cross-functional relationships and a demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects
  • Deep understanding of the marketing technology landscape and the ability to quickly evaluate and learn new technologies
