Description: Our client in the energy sector is seeking an Operational Technology Systems Analyst for a 6+ month contract. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in industrial operations centers and collaborate with Engineers to ensure designs and operations meet security requirements.

Responsibilities:

OT Cyber Specialist Skills

1. Develop technical Cyber Risk Mitigation Plans for Industrial Control Systems and associated networks for Critical Infrastructure.
2. Review supply chain vendor cyber security risks and participate in scope and contract negotiations.
3. Monitor, tune, and respond to events within OT monitoring tools and SIEM.
4. Conduct OT Vulnerability assessments and monitoring.
5. Review threat intelligence feeds for applicability to OT environment.
6. Update and develop OT incident response playbooks.
7. Expand logging and visibility to cover “blind spots” within the fleet OT networks.
8. Provide input into cybersecurity roadmap to meet maturity goals.
9. Contribute to the compliance program for NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards.

OT Network Specialist Skills

1. Design, support, monitor, and maintain industrial networks and security appliances.
2. Network monitoring and device maintenance.
3. Firewall rule specifications and reviews.
4. Network drawing development and authentication as required.
5. Develop and maintain industrial network security standards, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements:

1. Extensive knowledge of network administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
2. Experience with design, support, and maintenance of industrial control or computer systems.
3. Working knowledge of key network infrastructure components.
4. Advanced knowledge of Operational Technology, SCADA, and ICS Cyber Security best practices.
5. Understanding of control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA, RTU).
6. Understanding of industrial communication protocols.
7. Experience with Windows administration and virtualization.
8. Solid understanding of codes and standards related to controls and industrial networks design.
9. Familiarity with NIST, NERC CIP, and other standards related to cyber security and ICS design.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Periodic travel to various sites within Canada and/or United States.
12. Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering preferred; other educational backgrounds considered based on experience.
13. Additional network and security-related training or cyber certifications are an asset.
