Operational Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Etobicoke, CA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage industrial quality activities in relevant workshops.
  2. Lead development of Standard Work Instructions for new and existing maintenance tasks.
  3. Develop and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and processes.
  4. Ensure ISO 9001 adherence by developing new procedures/work instructions, updating all documentation, conducting internal audits, conducting risk assessments, leading external audits, and driving continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
  5. Build and maintain quality department KPIs to measure performance.
  6. Participate and delegate customer joint inspections.
  7. Conduct supplier visits and supplier facility assessments in cases of non-compliances. Ensure corrective and preventative measures are taken to eliminate the non-compliances.
  8. Build, implement & regularly update Quality Control Plans with Return of Experience from previous projects.
  9. Ensure customer approval, documents validation & compliance of production (maintenance and repairs).
  10. Support Maintenance Optimization efforts with the Customer by attending time studies and procedure review.
  11. Drive continuous improvement by leading APSYS (Alstom Performance System) implementation.
  12. Establish equipment audit schedules and ensure they are performed by the quality team.
  13. Supervise and manage the team of quality engineers and interns.
  14. Design and conduct training for Quality & Continuous Improvement for new hires.
