We're seeking an experienced PR & Social Account Manager with deep tech industry knowledge to join our dynamic, global communications team, which is scaling at pace. In this role, you'll lead strategic PR campaigns and set social strategy for innovative AI and technology clients while building lasting media relationships with journalists across North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute integrated PR and social media strategies for AI, tech, and scale-up clients and deliver outstanding activation.
- Write compelling technical press releases, thought leadership pieces, social strategy, and proposal documents.
- Build and maintain relationships with Canadian-specific journalists, industry analysts, and key media contacts across North America.
- Identify and secure speaking opportunities and awards for clients in the AI/tech/Start Up space.
- Lead media relations for product launches, funding announcements, and corporate milestones.
- Track industry developments in AI, emerging tech, and startup ecosystems and share with clients and team.
- Manage international PR campaigns and coordinate with global teams on differing time zones.
- Present results and strategic recommendations to startup founders and tech executives.
- Analyse results post-campaign and provide learnings and recommendations to inform future campaigns.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in tech PR and social media agency.
- Proven experience working with AI companies, tech startups, and scale-ups.
- Established relationships with North American media and journalists.
- Deep understanding of AI industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Track record of securing top-tier tech media coverage.
- Proven ability to manage own time effectively and work independently.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts.
