On Call/Casual Responsible Adult or ECE Assistant

Kids Club Child Care Centre (under the same ownership as Little Wonders Montessori Childcare and Preschool) is looking for qualified Responsible Adults or Early Childhood Education Assistants to join our programs as an On Call/Casual Teacher.

With six locations in Abbotsford and one in Chilliwack, we have over 70 teachers in the company. This means our On Call Staff receive lots of shifts! This position requires you to manage your own transportation to and from the centres. All centres are accessible by public transit.

This position is an entry-level position into the company and may lead to a more permanent and full-time position in the future.

Required Skills:

• Must be patient and attentive
• Be able to follow a set schedule and implement pre-planned lesson plans
• Plan activities such as art, baking, and science
• Detail-oriented
• Communicate effectively with both co-workers and parents
• Be attentive to the needs and safety of the children while supervising them during daily activities including outdoor play, free play, baking, and art
• Assist children in learning how to work together and successfully resolve conflicts
• Have the stamina to keep up with the children and activities
• Be flexible to changes in routines
• Safely monitor children during all activities and react in emergencies
• Perform daily cleaning duties, including sanitizing toys and equipment, vacuuming, laundry, mopping, dishes, and keeping the rooms tidy

Pay:

From $18.50 per hour

Expected Hours:

2 – 40 per week
