Job description

Since 1906, Huckvale LLP has been providing Southern Alberta with dedicated, quality legal assistance to help our clients get where they need to be, from resolving a legal dispute to successfully closing a business or real estate transaction.


We are looking for a new team member in the position of:

Office Manager

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitoring and Posting Banking Transactions (multiple times per day)
  2. Bank Deposits (daily)
  3. Trust Accounting & Ensuring Compliance with the Law Society
  4. Payroll and Remittance
  5. HR Responsibilities: Hiring, Onboarding, Tracking Vacation/Anniversaries, Administering Employee Reviews and Addressing Grievances
  6. Administrative Support to the Lawyers, Legal Assistants and Accountant
  7. Covering Reception Desk during Breaks and Vacations
  8. Other Office Administrative duties as required

Requirements:

  1. 5 years’ Experience in a Similar Role
  2. High Attention to Detail and Accuracy with Numbers
  3. Strong Time Management and Ability to Prioritize Tasks
  4. Adaptable, Dependable and Level-headed
  5. Willingness to take Initiative to find Solutions
  6. Ability to work both Independently and as a Team Member
  7. Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and PC Law an asset
  8. Understanding of the Banking industry and/or the Rules Governing the Law Society an asset

We Offer:

  1. Monday – Friday: 40 hours/week
  2. $65,000 - $70,000 annually; based on Experience
