Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping Duties
- Maintain financial records, establish accounts, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Develop systems and policies to manage financial transactions effectively, including creating a chart of accounts.
- Prepare and distribute invoices; record and track payments.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely follow-ups for collections.
- Coordinate bank deposits and monitor account balances.
- Manage office supply purchases and report on expenses.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly cash flow statements, income statements, and balance sheets.
- Support the development of annual budgets and assist in preparing funding applications and project proposals.
- Assist management in tracking and submitting financial reports to external agencies, such as Industry Training and Employment Services.
- Provide support for financial audits and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate event-related purchases, including venues, equipment, and supplies.
- Supporting Events and Programming
- Assist with setting up and attending Supply Chain Manitoba information booths at events and conferences.
- Provide on-site support at events and programs as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance productivity and achieve shared success.
- Administrative Duties
- Oversee daily office administration, including answering calls, responding to emails, maintaining filing systems, and handling correspondence.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and conference calls; prepare agendas and take minutes.
- Maintain accurate contact lists and support internal and external communication.
- Manage office equipment maintenance and service agreements.
- Compile reports and presentations for various stakeholders.
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support the overall success of Supply Chain Manitoba operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, including advanced financial functions, spreadsheets, and chart creation.
- Expertise in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Extensive experience with data entry, record-keeping, and computer operation.
- Ability to complete complex administrative tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
Working Conditions
- Occasional local travel may be required.
- Availability for occasional evening or weekend work.
- Hybrid work environment with a Monday-to-Friday schedule.
Salary and Closing Date
• Salary: $50,000 per year
• Closing Date: April 25th, 2025
