Mountain Plains CSSN is actively recruiting a full-time permanent candidate for the role of Office Administrator.


Who we are

Mountain Plains Community Services Society of the North (MPCSSN) is a non-profit, charitable society governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our Society has operated numerous diverse community and family-focused programs that are designed to address the unique needs of the Northwest region of Alberta since 1972. Currently we offer services in partnership with Alberta Health Services and Alberta Human Services.

Mountain Plains CSSN is accredited by CARF International and is a member of the ALIGN Association of Community Services as well as the Children’s Welfare League of Canada.

Position: Office Administrator

Expected Shifts: Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:00pm (flexible to Agency needs)

Role Overview:

The role of the Office Administrator is to continually monitor and assess the office needs and to take the initiatives to ensure our current operations are running smoothly. The Office Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operation and best practices within the agency, answering the phones, greeting visitors, data entry, and personnel file maintenance. The Office Administrator will be expected to thoroughly understand the nature of Mountain Plains CSSN's philosophy, values, and culture. As a member of the Office Team, the Office Administrator will directly support the Agency needs by being the first point of contact for all our visitors both in-office and on the phone. The Office Administrator will be supervised by the Human Resources Coordinator and will assist in the organizational health of the Agency by ensuring consistency in quality best practice throughout the Agency.

The Office Administrator will be responsible for a number of collaborative duties from an administrative perspective, making them an integral liaison within the Executive Leadership team; as such, it is of utmost importance that the Office Administrator values the benefits of a strong work ethic and transparent teamwork atmosphere. The Office Administrator must present professionally as they will be the first point of contact for our agency, whether that is by phone or in person.


The Ideal Candidate will display a strong working knowledge of Office Administrator duties as well as demonstrated experience in Office Management. Experience with BambooHR is considered an asset.


Must have:

  • A minimum of two-year prior experience and/or hold a two-year diploma in a related field.
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Driver’s Abstract.
  • Clear Criminal Records Check.
  • Clear Children’s Service Intervention Record Check.
  • Vehicle Insurance stating $2 million liability and access to a vehicle.
