Occupational Therapist – Mental Health

Position: Occupational Therapist - Mental Health.

Location: Halifax HX2/ Seacroft LS14

Role: Permanent

Salary: £35,000 - £44,000 (depending on experience)

Start: ASAP

Our client is focused on mental health rehabilitation and learning disability services, based in Lancashire and Yorkshire.

The Role:

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for mental health recovery? We're seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist within a leading rehabilitation service focused on supporting individuals with complex mental health needs across two rehabilitation residential houses in Halifax and Seacroft.

1. Provide high-quality OT interventions to promote recovery and independence.
2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualised care plans.
3. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify strengths and challenges in self-care, productivity, and leisure.
4. Deliver group and one-to-one interventions that enhance daily living skills and social inclusion.
5. Lead on the development of OT pathways and contribute to service-wide improvements.
6. Occasional travel to support our multisite services in Halifax and Seacroft.

Qualifications:

1. Degree in Occupational Therapy.
2. HCPC registration.
3. At least 3 years of post-graduate experience, with a minimum of 2 years in mental health.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and colleagues.
