What you will do:

  1. Provide first aid, health counseling, medical referral services, and education to employees and contractors as required. Prevent and manage work and non-work related injuries and illnesses.
  2. Manage medical programs which include: conducting health examinations and screening programs for existing, new hire, and return to work employees.
  3. Manage the health tracking system and maintain accurate and up to date data and reporting.
  4. Lead and facilitate the medical aspects of WCB, Short-Term, Long-Term Case Management, Accommodation and Disability Cases in conjunction with the Human Resources department.
  5. Develop protocols, policies, and procedures as required.
  6. Direct contract staff and manage the medical budget to maintain the Health Centre equipment with supplies at the ready.

What you will bring:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing and/or OHN, RN or LPN certification is required.
  2. Knowledge and understanding of the case management process for occupational and non-occupational issues.
  3. Ability to maintain records and produce reports related to patient statistics.
  4. Passion and commitment for safety - expectation of self and others to demonstrate respect, at all times.
  5. Mindset emphasizing the importance of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace.
  6. Well-developed interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  7. Ability and desire to work effectively as a team member.
  8. Organized and a leader in health and safety.
  9. Competence in health tracking software and Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
