Occasional Outreach Worker
Location: Regina SK
Duration: 4 months


Local traveling required / event work:

  • Event will be local to Regina and Saskatoon
  • Always on the first and third Monday of each month
  • Two other events could be on a weekday or weekend

Libraries:

  • Weekday and weekend availability would be preferable
  • Max travel is 2.5 hours one way (Person needs to have a car and be able to drive to location. Time and mileage will be reimbursed)

Job Summary

Reporting to the Associate Program Manager, the Community Outreach Marketing Representative will play a key role in this occasional/part-time position to promote and increase participation in an energy efficiency program aimed at assisting low-income residents across the province. The program is called the Energy Assistance Program, which Ecofitt is contracted to deliver on behalf of SaskPower.


Responsibilities
  • Attend food banks to provide program materials, engage with potential applicants, and facilitate the application process for those interested.
  • Food bank events will be on the 1st and 15th of the month, as well as two other dates, which could be scheduled on weekends or weekdays.
  • Library events will be 4 times per month and aim to educate attendees on how to conserve energy at home, explain the benefits, and promote registrations into the program.
  • Work towards monthly enrollment targets and report to the Associate Program Manager on the status of all deliverables in progress and achieved.
  • Maintain good record keeping and keep note of experiences at events to share lessons learned and best practices.
  • All other duties as required.

Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years customer service experience and/or marketing experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Applications with an aptitude to learn internal software and other relevant applications.
  • Experience working with low-income customers is an asset.
