Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Nursing Talent Ambassador will play a key role in leading campus recruitment efforts and sourcing top nursing talent to join our home care team. Your primary responsibility will be to connect with nursing students, recent graduates and experienced professionals through campus events and social media platforms to drive the recruitment of qualified nurses.

The Nursing Talent Ambassador will be a key advocate for our organization, showcasing the benefits and impact of working in home care while building a pipeline of diverse and talented nursing professionals. You will work closely with Talent Acquisition Specialists and Regional Managers to develop and refine talent acquisition strategies aligned to priorities.

This role is primarily remote and will require travel within Ontario, supporting in-person recruitment events.

Take an inside look at what you will do each day:

  • Collaborate with the talent acquisition team and regional directors/managers to develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned to provincial talent priorities.
  • Engage nursing students and graduates, collaborating with nursing schools, universities and career centres to promote home care career opportunities.
  • Develop and/or maintain a presence in the nursing community to stay current with professional standards, practices and emerging trends in healthcare (i.e. professional organizations, conferences, seminars, networking, contributing to discussions to share and exchange knowledge etc.).
  • Utilize social media platforms (i.e. LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) to proactively source, engage, and attract nursing talent, showcasing the advantages of a career in home care and promoting our company’s culture and values.
  • Leverage online job boards, professional networks, and social media to identify and reach out to potential candidates, building a strong talent pool for current and future recruitment needs.
  • Represent the company at career fairs, networking events, and virtual recruitment events, championing the benefits of working with our organization and home care as a career path.
  • Maintain consistent communication with prospective candidates, providing information on job opportunities, application processes, and benefits to encourage engagement and application.
  • Track and report on recruitment activities, candidate engagement and outcomes, providing regular updates to the recruitment team on the effectiveness of outreach efforts.
  • Build strong relationships with key nursing schools, faculty and industry organizations to foster long-term recruitment partnerships.
  • Participate in/or support the interview process, as required.
  • Assist with the initial stages of the candidate onboarding process, ensuring smooth transitions from recruitment to onboarding.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to all appropriate stakeholders.
  • Be an ambassador and champion for CBI Health whenever the opportunity presents itself.
What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • A nursing degree or diploma with an HR designation is considered an asset or relevant experience in related roles.
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in nursing, home care preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in talent acquisition considered an asset.
  • Passion for Nursing & Home Care with a deep understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges in this field.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, content creation and digital recruitment strategies.
  • Established network in the nursing community or healthcare industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage diverse candidates.
  • Ability to articulate CBI Home Health’s vision and employee value proposition.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - the ability to network in person and online.
  • A collaborative approach – a strong team player.
  • Proven organization, communication and presentation skills.
  • A superior focus on the details, proactive and tech savvy approach.
  • Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft products.
